A 34-year-old man has been sentenced to prison for breaching a restraining order intended to safeguard his former partner.
Lee Roberts, of Higher Lane in Liverpool, pleaded guilty to visiting his ex-partner’s residence in Mold on two separate occasions in November of the previous year, despite the existence of the restraining order that forbade such actions.
During proceedings at Mold Crown Court on Thursday, 8 January, Roberts received a 14-month custodial sentence.
He was also issued with a lifetime restraining order, set to take effect in July 2024, which prohibits him from making contact with the victim and her mother or from visiting any location they are believed to be at.
However, Roberts persisted in making unwelcome contact, leading to the activation of a suspended sentence that had been previously imposed.
Remarkably, upon his release from prison, he immediately returned to visit his former partner’s address again.
