In August 2018, a disturbing case unfolded at Manchester Crown Court involving Lee O’Shea, a 39-year-old man from Hattersley, who was convicted of heinous sexual offenses against a young girl.The court heard that O’Shea, who was unemployed at the time, had engaged in a prolonged pattern of grooming and abusing a schoolgirl, leading to two separate pregnancies and causing immense trauma to the victim.
According to court records, the grooming began in 2014 when the girl was just 13 years old.

The trauma did not end there; in 2016, when the girl was 15, she became pregnant again.
Once more, O’Shea manipulated her into having another abortion, further compounding her suffering and leaving her deeply traumatized.

The judge overseeing the case sentenced O’Shea to eight and a half years in prison for his crimes.
