NOTTINGHAM POLICE OFFICER SEXUALLY ASSAULTED BY OFFENDER IN NOTTINGHAM BAR
A police officer felt "sick, violated and anxious" after she was sexually assaulted.Kyron Hicken was spoken to by officers who were called to a bar in Nottingham amid reports of a man smoking inside earlier this year.
Hicken then made sexual comments to one of the officers who had arrived.
He licked his lips and stared at her, before sexually assaulting her.
In a statement, the officer said she felt she had lost confidence at work and is always thinking something like this might happen again.
She felt violated, Nottingham Crown Court heard on Tuesday (August 2).
"My husband now worries about me when I go to work," she said.
Hicken, 36, previously of Woodborough Road, Mapperley, has 68 convictions on his record for 150 offences, including eight for sexual offences and ten for assault.
He was sentenced to six months in prison for the sexual assault and six months for assaulting a prison officer by spitting at him at HMP Leicester one month earlier.
Six weeks in custody were added from a previous suspended sentence for shop theft.
A psychiatric report before the court referred to a diagnosis of schizophrenia and a personality disorder.
"This offending relates to your mental health," said Judge James Sampson, who sentenced him.
"I am told you are taking your medication and in a different position to how you were in February and March".
