MAN SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS AND FOUR MONTHS IN PRISON FOR CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES

Kwame Yeboah, aged 30 and residing on Drake Way in Reading, admitted to several charges on Wednesday 22 April and was subsequently sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday 24 June.

He faced three counts of raping a girl under the age of 13 and one count of sexual assault against a girl under 13.

The crimes occurred in Wirral during February, after Yeboah initially communicated with the victim online and made arrangements to visit the area.

As part of his sentencing, Yeboah will undergo an additional year on license and will be subject to a 15-year Restraining Order to restrict him from approaching the victim.
