February 2019 Sex offender Kurt Lambert had more than 100 indecent images of teenager on his phone A sex offender tricked a teenager into thinking he was in a relationship before taking more than 100 explicit images of his abuse on a mobile phone. Kurt Lambert, who used to live in Maidstone , has been jailed for almost five years for the offences committed between April 2015 and January 2017. He appeared at Maidstone Crown Court where he was convicted of six counts of having sexual activity with a child, three of taking indecent photographs of a child and a further charge of making indecent photographs of a child. The 28-year-old took images and videos and also sent explicit photos of himself to the victim. But when concerns were raised to the police back in January 2017, Lambert was arrested. During interview he accepted the allegations and admitted there more than 100 explicit images of the victim contained in his phone. Lambert also conceded he would use instant messaging apps and may have contacted other children, but couldn’t answer whether he had sent images to anyone other than the victim. It was yesterday (February 22) that Lambert, whose last address was given as Wodecroft Road in Luton, was sentenced for four years and eight months. He had previously pleaded guilty to all the charges. Police say that upon his release, he will be the subject of a restraining order and a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years, which places restrictions on access to the internet and prohibits contact with girls under the age of 16. He will also be placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely. Det Cons Celia King of Maidstone CID said: “The law is there to protect children until they are old enough and mature enough to make decisions on their own. “Kurt Lambert has abused trust shown in him in the worst possible way, in order to exploit a child for his own gratification. “It is entirely correct that he has now faced justice and that the court has imposed measures to reduce the risk of him reoffending in future. “Lambert has to pay the price for his actions and hopefully his prison sentence will give him time to reflect on what he has done.”
