HUDDERSFIELD MAN KRISTAFA SPENCER JAILED FOR THREATS AND ASSAULT
A vile offender named Kristafa Spencer has been involved in serious criminal activity. He previously appeared in court having been convicted of breaching a non-molestation order, affray, and making threats to kill.
Spencer, aged 38, turned up at his ex-partner's home armed with a baseball bat, after she had seen her new partner the night before.
The prosecutor explained how Spencer was terrified to open the door and asked her to leave, then entered the house and pulled out a rounders or baseball bat, shouting at her and pleading, 'Please don't do this.' He swung the bat at her head but hit the kitchen cupboard instead before she managed to escape through a window and run to a neighbor’s house.
She later discovered her mobile phone was missing, and Spencer was arrested.
Spencer had a lengthy criminal record with 37 previous convictions, including five offences against the person, four against property, assaulting an emergency worker, and assault causing actual bodily harm, the latter related to his sister.
In court, he pleaded guilty to breaching a non-molestation order, affray, and making threats to kill just two days before his trial in October.
The judge sentenced him to three years in prison, emphasizing he would not attend his grandmother's brother's funeral, which was scheduled for two days later, and asserting that his remand since May was not sufficient punishment.
The court remarks that despite past poor compliance with orders, rehabilitation remains possible, and he has been remanded in custody since May, serving the equivalent of a 14-month sentence.
