KIRSTY JUBB FROM SHEFFIELD SENTENCED FOR GROOMING BOY AND SEXUAL ASSAULTS
In November 2020, a disturbing case emerged involving Kirsty Jubb, a woman from Sheffield, who engaged in a calculated and predatory campaign targeting young boys.Over a period of time, Jubb groomed a schoolboy through an extensive exchange of more than 80,000 text messages, during which she manipulated and deceived him into believing she cared for him.
Her sinister actions culminated in her having sexual intercourse with the boy after inviting him to her home on three separate occasions.
The grooming process was marked by manipulative communication, including the sending of a video in which Jubb performed a sexual act.
She also extended an invitation for the boy to visit her residence, which he did on three separate occasions, during which she engaged in full sexual intercourse with him while he stayed overnight.
The deception was ultimately uncovered when the boy’s parents discovered he was missing the following morning, prompting an investigation.
The court heard that Jubb, 27, of Walkley Road, Sheffield, had also attempted to seduce another boy at the same time she was grooming the first.
In one of her messages, she shockingly told the first boy that his family did not love him, a statement that the court described as part of her calculated effort to undermine his sense of security and family bonds.
The boy’s mother provided a statement to the court, describing Jubb’s actions as a “calculated and chilling” attempt “to undermine our son’s belief in our family.” She expressed her confusion and distress, saying, “She targeted him and stole his innocence.
I struggle to understand why she did it.” Weeks prior to arranging the visits to her home, Jubb had begun texting the other boy, indicating her manipulative and predatory behavior extended beyond her initial victim.
Her actions were deemed highly inappropriate and criminal.
Jubb faced multiple charges, including two counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child and three counts of sexual assault.
She pleaded guilty to all charges in court.
The presiding judge, Judge Thomas, sentenced her to four and a half years in prison.
Additionally, she was ordered to be placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life, reflecting the severity of her crimes and the ongoing risk she poses to the community.
