KIERON RUSHTON FROM BURNLEY JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES INVOLVING EASTERN EUROPEAN GIRLS
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Burnley, a man named Kieron Rushton has been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of a series of heinous crimes involving the exploitation of young girls. The incident came to light when law enforcement officials from the police’s sex offender management team conducted a targeted visit to Rushton’s residence in Burnley on December 16, following multiple concerns raised about his suspicious and inappropriate behavior.
During the police visit, officers discovered Rushton, aged 49, actively engaged in viewing online streaming videos featuring children.
This discovery was just the beginning of a disturbing investigation that uncovered extensive evidence of his involvement in child exploitation.
A detailed examination of Rushton’s mobile devices revealed the presence of four live chat streaming applications, which he had installed to facilitate his illicit activities.
Further analysis confirmed that Rushton was actively soliciting children to perform indecent acts during these live web chats, with the victims believed to be girls aged between eight and 15, primarily residing in Eastern Europe.
Authorities found a staggering 284 indecent images of children stored on Rushton’s devices.
Among these were 28 images classified as Category A, indicating the most severe and explicit forms of child sexual abuse material.
The victims depicted in these images ranged in age from as young as six to 12 years old.
Some of the recovered material included recordings of the victims performing sexual acts on live web chats, which Rushton had recorded and stored.
Rushton, who was identified as having no fixed address at the time of his arrest, faced multiple charges in connection with his actions.
When he appeared before Preston Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to 11 counts, including nine charges related to making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children, engaging in sexual communication with a minor, and inciting a girl under the age of 13 to participate in sexual activities.
In sentencing, the court handed Rushton a prison term of three years and four months.
Additionally, he was subjected to a lifetime sexual harm prevention order, which imposes strict restrictions on his access to children and aims to prevent any future offenses.
This case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat online child exploitation and protect vulnerable victims from predators like Rushton.
