KIERAN KEYWORTH'S SHOCKING CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN WARRINGTON: COURT SPARES HIM JAIL TIME DESPITE HORRIFIC EVIDENCE

In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through Warrington, a young man named Kieran Keyworth was recently brought before Liverpool Crown Court to face serious allegations of child sexual offences.

Despite admitting to over 20 separate charges involving the exploitation and abuse of minors, Keyworth was ultimately spared a custodial sentence, a decision that has sparked widespread controversy and concern.

According to court reports, Keyworth, aged 20, engaged in online communications with eight girls under the age of 15.

These conversations were described as vile and disturbing, with the defendant discussing sexual activities in graphic detail.

Police investigations uncovered a troubling pattern of behavior, including the possession of a large collection of indecent images of children, some as young as three years old.

The images, classified into various severity categories, revealed the extent of his disturbing interests.

Prosecutor Simon Mintz detailed that police found 159 indecent images on two of Keyworth’s mobile phones, which had been collected since he was just 13 years old.

The images ranged from severe cases involving child rape to less severe categories, with 39 images classified as Category A—the most serious.

Additionally, police discovered thousands of pages of text messages and chat logs, indicating that Keyworth had been engaging in sexualized conversations with the girls, some of whom were under 15.

Four of these profiles were confirmed to belong to real children, while the authenticity of the other four remained uncertain, with authorities unable to verify whether they were genuine or decoys created by paedophile hunter groups.

Further investigations revealed that police first approached Keyworth in February 2021, seizing his Google Pixel phone for forensic analysis.

The examination uncovered more disturbing content, including images of girls as young as three being sexually abused.

The severity of the material was underscored by the fact that 39 images were classified as Category A, indicating acts of child rape, with additional images falling into less severe categories.

In total, police found 23 indecent images on a subsequent Samsung device, which Keyworth had acquired after the initial investigation.

Beyond images, authorities also found evidence that Keyworth had distributed illegal content online.

In August 2020, he was caught sharing a Category B video and six Category C images with other paedophiles, demonstrating a high level of knowledge about how to conceal his activities.

His use of sophisticated technology, including VPN software to mask his location, was highlighted by the prosecution as indicative of his intent to evade detection.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Keyworth used various online platforms such as Snapchat, WhatsApp, Omegle, Discord, Swiper, and whatshalfway.com to communicate with minors.

His search history contained terms suggestive of his offending behavior.

On one occasion, he discussed sexual activities he wished a girl to perform, asked her to send a video, and inquired if she was willing to engage in sexual acts.

He repeatedly pressed a girl to send topless photos and perform sexual acts on herself, describing in graphic detail how he wanted to have sex with her.

In one disturbing exchange, he told a 14-year-old girl he would 'do her senseless,' and with a 15-year-old, he requested a 'proper ass pic' and sent a photo of his penis.

Keyworth’s comments about sexual activity with minors were equally alarming.

He remarked to a girl that he would 'get slaughtered' because she was 15, indicating an awareness of the legal risks involved.

Despite the severity of his actions, the court was told that his autism and learning difficulties played a role in the decision to avoid a prison sentence.

The judge, Recorder Ian Harris, acknowledged that the choice before him was stark but emphasized the need for support rather than incarceration.

In his sentencing, Keyworth was given a two-year community order, which includes 30 days of rehabilitation activities and a 43-day program.

Additionally, he was subject to a sexual harm prevention order, restricting his ability to reoffend, and was required to register as a sex offender for the next five years.

The court’s decision to avoid jail time has been met with mixed reactions, with many expressing concern over the potential risks posed by individuals with such disturbing histories who are not incarcerated.

Keyworth, residing on Parker Street in Warrington’s town centre, now faces ongoing monitoring and restrictions as part of his sentence.
