MAN JAILED FOR 14 YEARS FOR SEX ASSAULT AND HAVING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A man responsible for recording himself sexually assaulting a young girl, who also possessed hundreds of indecent images of children on his electronic devices, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.Lancashire Police began an inquiry after discovering a USB drive containing videos of Kiefer Garner assaulting the girl.
This USB also included nude photos of the victim and another minor.
Upon his arrest in Blackburn, authorities confiscated a laptop and a mobile phone from Garner’s residence.
Investigators found a total of 519 indecent images across these devices, with 92 classified as Category A, indicating the most severe level of child abuse material.
Further examination of the USB revealed multiple Snapchat screen recordings where Garner used a false profile name and displayed an image of an adult male, not himself.
These recordings included chats with young girls and exchanged images.
The 35-year-old, who does not have a fixed address, appeared before Preston Crown Court on June 15th.
He admitted to multiple charges, including sexually assaulting a girl under 13 through penetration, touching a girl under 13, encouraging or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual acts, performing sexual acts in front of a child under 13, and producing indecent images of a child.
He received a 14-year prison sentence, with an additional eight-year extended licence.
In addition, Garner was subject to a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will remain on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.
