KEVIN SPENCER FROM BRIDLINGTON AND HUDDERSFIELD JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN KIRKLEES

In a significant legal development, Kevin Spencer, a man originally from Huddersfield and later residing in Bridlington, has been sentenced to a five-year prison term following his conviction for serious sexual offences committed against young girls in the Kirklees area.

The sentencing took place on Friday, November 22, 2019, after a court found him guilty of multiple counts of abuse that spanned several years during the 1990s.

Spencer, aged 51 at the time of sentencing, was convicted of four counts of indecent assault against one female victim and two counts against another girl.

Both victims were under the age of 10 at the time of the offences, which occurred in the Holme Valley area of Kirklees.

The court heard evidence detailing the disturbing nature of the abuse, which had remained hidden for decades before Spencer’s eventual conviction.

Following his sentencing, Spencer will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, a legal measure designed to restrict his activities and reduce the risk of reoffending.

Additionally, he will be required to sign the sex offenders register for the rest of his life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and public safety.
