BURNLEY MAN BANNED AFTER THREATENING TO BURN EX-PARTNER'S HOUSE
Kevin Scott, aged 43, of Moorland Road, Burnley, has been involved in a harassment incident whereby he threatened his ex-partner.
The court heard that he shouted through her letterbox, stating he would put a window through her house and made threats of setting fire to her property.
He has a lengthy criminal record with 33 previous convictions.
Scott admitted to harassment last September and failing to surrender.
The court sentenced him to an 18-month community order including participation in a domestic violence program and issued a 12-month restraining order.
The incident stems from a 15-year relationship with Kimberley O'Horo, which ended in May.
Last September, Scott repeatedly went to her home, made damaging threats, and shouted that he would set her house on fire.
Prosecutor Philippa White provided these details, and the defense attorney Nick Cassidy noted the relationship had been difficult and Scott felt aggrieved.
