KEVIN PRITCHARD SENTENCED IN NORWICH FOR DECADES OF SEXUAL ABUSE
A woman has spoken about the devastating impact of her past abuse, stating that part of her has been 'destroyed' and she fears she may never recover after suffering historic sexual abuse by a dangerous offender. She was one of three young girls who were subjected to abuse by Kevin Pritchard, 65, over a period spanning from the 1970s to the 1990s.
Norwich Crown Court was told that during a 14-year period, Pritchard, of Falkland Close, Hellesdon, repeatedly assaulted the three girls, all under the age of 12 at the time.
Prosecutor Duncan O'Donnell explained that Pritchard had instructed each victim to keep their experiences a secret.
Pritchard, who was between 20 and 30 years old during the offences, was arrested last year.
He admitted to the offences, claiming he did not understand why he had done it and suggested that he had 'probably been drinking' at the time.
On Monday, October 18, Pritchard appeared in court for sentencing after previously admitting to 15 counts, including gross indecency with a girl under 14 and indecent assault of a girl under 14.
Ahead of his sentencing, Mr.
O'Donnell read a statement from one of the victims.
She described how the abuse she endured left her contemplating taking her own life.
