KEVIN MILLER FROM KELTY INVOLVED IN DOMESTIC ABUSE INCIDENTS IN KELTY AND DUNFERMLINE
Kevin Miller, a 42-year-old resident of Kingsland Terrace in Kelty, has been brought before Dunfermline Sheriff Court to answer charges related to a prolonged period of domestic abuse against his former partner. The incidents span over a year, beginning on January 1, 2020, and continuing until January 27 of this year, involving multiple acts of aggression and harassment within their shared or related addresses in Kelty and other locations.According to court records, Miller engaged in a pattern of abusive behavior that included sending his former partner and her family derogatory messages and making offensive phone calls. These actions contributed to a hostile and threatening environment, causing significant emotional distress to those involved.
The most serious incident occurred on March 27, 2021, when Miller's aggression escalated. On that day, he displayed an aggressive attitude, forcibly took a mobile phone from his partner’s hand, and physically seized her by her clothing. He then proceeded to drag her around the living room, an act that resulted in her sustaining injuries. Witnesses or evidence from the court suggest that this assault was part of a broader pattern of controlling and violent behavior.
Further troubling conduct was reported on January 27 of this year, when Miller attempted to unlawfully access his former partner’s home. He removed the ring doorbell from the property and subsequently posted it through the letterbox, an act that indicates an intent to intimidate or harass her further. This incident underscores the ongoing nature of his abusive conduct and his disregard for her safety and privacy.
At the hearing, Sheriff Wylie Robertson decided to defer sentencing until November 23, allowing for further consideration of the case and any additional evidence or mitigation. Miller’s actions have been characterized as serious and concerning, highlighting the ongoing issues of domestic abuse and the importance of legal intervention to protect victims.
