KENNETH MCNABB FROM CARLISLE ADMITS TO CHILD IMAGE OFFENCES IN SHOCKING CASE
In a serious development at Carlisle Crown Court, 70-year-old Kenneth Edward McNabb, a resident of Ellesmere Way, Morton, has confessed to multiple charges related to the possession and creation of indecent images of children. The case has drawn significant attention due to the nature of the offences and the age of the defendant.
McNabb, who is also known by the aliases Kenneth Hargadon and Haragadon, appeared before the court to admit to two primary allegations.
The first charge involved him making or downloading an indecent image of a child, classified as a Category B image, which is considered the second most severe category of such material.
This activity took place over a period spanning from November 30, 2019, to January 1 of the following year.
In addition to this, McNabb also pleaded guilty to a similar offence involving a Category C indecent image of a child, which is regarded as less severe but still constitutes a serious criminal act.
These admissions highlight a pattern of offending behavior during the specified period.
The defendant further admitted to breaching a sexual harm prevention order, a legal restriction imposed to prevent further offences.
Specifically, he acknowledged performing an act prohibited by this order, which involved deleting images from his laptop.
The order itself was related to 'historic sexual offences,' indicating previous concerns or convictions that led to the restrictions now in place.
The court proceedings revealed the gravity of the case, and the judge decided to adjourn sentencing until May 17.
This delay allows for the preparation of detailed background reports, which will inform the final sentencing decision.
The case underscores ongoing efforts by authorities to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable individuals from sexual harm.
