KENNETH JONES SHAMES TEEN GIRLS IN WORCESTER NEAR MALVERN ST JAMES AND AVENUE ROAD
In June 2011, a disturbing series of incidents involving Kenneth Jones, a resident of Salisbury Close, Ronkswood, Worcester, came to light after he admitted to exposing himself to multiple teenage girls in the vicinity of Malvern and Worcester.Jones's inappropriate behavior was observed on three separate occasions near the premises of Malvern St James and along Avenue Road, causing concern among local residents and students alike.
The first incident occurred early in the morning on Wednesday, November 24, when Jones was seen parked on Avenue Road at approximately 8:15 am.
A 16-year-old girl and her friend noticed him performing a sexual act while speaking on his phone.
This unsettling sighting was the first of several that would follow.
Nearly two months later, on Wednesday, January 12, at around 8 am, Jones was spotted by an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old girl as they walked along Tibberton Road, which intersects with Avenue Road.
During this encounter, Jones was observed exposing himself through his trousers as he approached the teenagers.
The same day, about forty minutes later, another girl reported seeing Jones in a similar act, further confirming his pattern of behavior.
His disturbing conduct continued into the following month.
On Monday, January 31, at approximately 1:40 pm, Jones was seen once again exposing himself while walking down Tibberton Road.
This final incident led to his identification by a community support officer, who recognized him from descriptions provided by the victims.
The officer's recognition was instrumental in bringing Jones into police custody.
Initially, Jones refused to cooperate with police inquiries, declining to answer questions.
However, he later disclosed that he had been experiencing traumatic events in his life, including the loss of his partner to leukemia, which he claimed contributed to his actions.
His admission was taken into account during proceedings.
Jones appeared before Worcester Magistrates Court, where he pleaded guilty to three counts of exposure and one charge of outraging public decency.
District Judge Bruce Morgan ordered a comprehensive pre-sentence report to be prepared before his next court appearance.
Jones is scheduled to return to Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday, June 24, to face sentencing and further legal proceedings.
