MUM, 22, IN COURT.
A WOMAN who has admitted a charge of child neglect following her baby's death has been remanded in custody.
Kellie Armer, 22, was originally charged with the manslaughter of her two-month-old baby son Joel Prescott.
But her guilty plea to child neglect was accepted at Liverpool Crown Court and she was due to be sentenced there last Thursday.
But she failed to turn up, and a warrant for her arrest was issued.
On Saturday she appeared before a special sitting of Flintshire magistrates.
Armer, formerly of Pulford Street, Everton, was remanded in custody to appear before a judge in Liverpool.
An application for bail was rejected.
