HULL MEN KEHAN SAFI, BAKHTULLAH SAFI, AND HABIBULLAH AHMADZAI TO BE SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN HULL
On the night of July 30th, a woman who had just finished a night out with friends in Hull city centre found herself in a terrifying and traumatic ordeal.Believing she had entered a registered taxi, she was instead targeted by three men who subjected her to a brutal sexual assault.
The incident took place as she was walking along Ferensway, a well-known street in Hull, when she entered what she thought was a legitimate vehicle.
CCTV footage captured her walking along Ferensway before entering the car, which then drove off in the direction of Hull Royal Infirmary.
During the journey, the three men—Bakhtullah Safi and Habibullah Ahmadzai, both aged 18 and residents of Wellsted Street in Hull, along with Kehan Safi, aged 26 from Wellington Lane in Hull—carried out the assault.
Following the attack, they requested a fare of 20 pounds for the taxi ride.
However, the woman, distressed and frightened, refused to pay and managed to escape from the vehicle, seeking safety from her attackers.
In the aftermath of the incident, the authorities moved swiftly to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Bakhtullah Safi and Habibullah Ahmadzai were found guilty of rape at Hull Crown Court.
Kehan Safi, who had previously pleaded guilty to the same charge during an earlier hearing, was also convicted.
The case has drawn significant attention from law enforcement and the community, highlighting the dangers faced by women in public spaces and the importance of vigilance.
