KAROL JAWORSKI SHOCKS PORT TALBOT WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT AND RAILWAY CHAOS

A disturbing incident involving Karol Jaworski, aged 40, has sent shockwaves through the community of Port Talbot and surrounding areas. The case details a heinous sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl, coupled with reckless behavior that caused significant disruption to railway services in South Wales.

According to court reports, the young victim, who was dressed in her school uniform at the time, was approached inside a shop by Jaworski. His comments were inappropriate and offensive, as he remarked "good arse" about her. The situation escalated when Jaworski delivered a hard slap to her bottom, which left her feeling a sting. When she turned around to confront him, she saw Jaworski looking directly at her, an encounter that left her visibly distressed.

In a separate but related incident, Jaworski was observed walking along train tracks near Port Talbot after missing a lift. This reckless act led to severe delays on the railway line, affecting multiple train services. The disruption resulted in a total delay of 375 minutes and incurred a financial cost of £30,749 to National Rail. Witnesses and police reports indicate that Jaworski was found near the car park of Port Talbot Parkway station. When questioned, he dismissively told officers, "I do this in Poland all the time – what’s the problem?"

Jaworski’s behavior did not end there. Following his arrest, he was taken to court where he pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault and obstructing railway operations. His appearance at Cardiff Crown Court on Monday was marked by a sentencing that reflected the seriousness of his actions. The judge, Jeremy Jenkins, sentenced him to 16 months in prison, with additional restrictions including a 12-month restraining order and a requirement to register as a sex offender for the next ten years.

During the sentencing, Judge Jenkins expressed his outrage, stating, "What is it coming to when a young schoolgirl cannot go into a shop without being sexually assaulted in the way in which she was by somebody like you?" He also addressed the railway incident, emphasizing that such behavior was unacceptable in Britain, regardless of whether it was a pattern in Poland.

Jaworski’s departure from the court was marked by shouting expletives, as he yelled, "F*** off, f*** off," in the courtroom. Police reports reveal that Jaworski claimed the railway walking was unintentional and that he had been intoxicated at the time due to drug use. He stated that he had been walking along the tracks after missing a lift, and he left the scene immediately when asked by authorities.

The victim’s personal statement, read aloud by prosecutor Martha Smith-Higgins, painted a vivid picture of the emotional toll inflicted by Jaworski’s actions. The girl expressed her ongoing anxiety about attending the town centre, where the assault occurred, and revealed she has not returned since. She described feeling uncomfortable around older men and expressed disgust and sickness over the mark left on her bottom. Her statement highlighted the lasting impact of the assault, emphasizing her vulnerability as a young girl in a public space.

Wales Online reports that on February 21 this year, British Transport Police received multiple reports of a man walking along the train tracks from Briton Ferry railway station towards Port Talbot Parkway. Officers located Jaworski near the station’s car park. His initial response to police inquiries was dismissive, claiming, "I do this in Poland all the time – what’s the problem?"

Due to his actions, train services were halted for 56 minutes, affecting three trains directly and causing further delays throughout the evening. The total delay time was 375 minutes, resulting in a substantial financial penalty for National Rail. The court was informed that Jaworski was heavily intoxicated at the time of the incidents, which contributed to his reckless behavior. Despite this, he left the tracks promptly when asked by authorities, indicating some level of compliance after initial resistance.
