HULL MAN JAILED FOR 22 YEARS FOR HORRIFIC CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
2021 A man from Hull has received a 22-year prison sentence after being found guilty of a series of heinous sexual crimes involving a nine-year-old girl.
Joshua Carter, aged 29, was convicted on nine counts of rape, four counts of assault, and two offences related to encouraging or forcing a child to participate in sexual acts.
Carter, who resides in the northern part of Hull, denied the allegations; however, a jury convicted him of all 15 charges following a trial earlier this year.
He appeared in Hull Crown Court on Friday for his sentencing hearing, where he was sentenced to a lengthy term behind bars.
Humberside Police’s Detective Sergeant Justin Marrow, who led the investigation, stated after the hearing: “This is an appalling case where a young child was subjected to horrific crimes.”
