JOSH MCKEOWN SEXUALLY ASSAULTS TEENAGE WORKERS AT PERTH MCDONALD'S
In a disturbing case that has shocked the Perth community, Joshua McKeown, a 28-year-old man from Rannoch Road, Perth, was found guilty of multiple counts of sexual assault involving teenage employees at a local McDonald's restaurant.The incidents, which took place in 2022, involved McKeown targeting young female staff members working in the kitchen and behind the counter, subjecting them to repeated acts of molestation that have left lasting scars.
One of the victims, a teenage girl, bravely testified in court that she had even contemplated taking her own life as a result of the relentless sexual harassment she endured at the hands of McKeown.
Her account was part of a series of testimonies from three young women who described a pattern of torment inflicted by the accused during their shifts at the Perth McDonald's.
The Perth Sheriff Court heard harrowing details of the incidents, including how McKeown would often smirk at the victims after committing acts such as attempting to unclip a girl’s bra.
In one particularly distressing moment, a witness recounted how she had to physically pry McKeown’s hands off her waist to prevent further assault.
The courtroom was visibly shaken as these accounts were presented, highlighting the severity of the misconduct.
The trial was temporarily halted when one of the witnesses broke down in tears while describing her experience.
