JORDON FOSTER'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN EDINBURGH: EX-HIBERNIAN FOOTBALLER CONVICTED OF BRUTAL ABUSE AND RACIST ATTACKS

Jordon Foster, a former professional footballer known for his time at Hibernian, has been found guilty of a series of violent and abusive acts committed against his partner in Edinburgh. The court proceedings revealed a disturbing pattern of aggression and cruelty that spanned several years, culminating in a conviction that has shocked the local community and the football world alike.

According to court records, Foster subjected his partner to a brutal campaign of physical violence and emotional abuse. The victim recounted incidents where Foster pushed her forcefully against a wall, throttled her during heated arguments, and even lashed out with a bottle during a particularly violent altercation at her flat in Edinburgh. These episodes of violence were part of a broader pattern of controlling behavior and verbal abuse, which included smashing household items during disputes and making derogatory remarks such as calling her a "fat slag."

Furthermore, Foster was accused of attempting to exert control over her personal habits, including her eating and dressing choices. The court also heard distressing accounts of Foster's violent behavior towards a child in the household. He was said to have pushed the child, causing him to fall, and during an incident at an Edinburgh restaurant, he made a racist remark by calling the child "a black c***." These allegations painted a picture of a man whose rage and intolerance extended beyond his partner to innocent children.

The victim described her relationship with Foster as increasingly toxic within just a few months of their association. She explained that Foster's aggressive outbursts and uncontrollable rages made her life unbearable. She revealed that she often had to use makeup to conceal bruises from his assaults and described her experience during the 2020 lockdown as "the worst time of my life," highlighting the emotional toll of living with someone prone to violence.

Foster's trial took place at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, where he faced five charges related to incidents between 2016 and 2021. The jury found him guilty of assaulting his partner, a conviction that was deemed to involve injuries that were both injurious and life-threatening. The court also considered evidence of a previous incident involving a young boy, where Foster made a racist comment, further illustrating his pattern of violent and discriminatory behavior.

During the trial, Foster maintained his innocence, denying all allegations. He claimed that he was never violent towards his partner or the child, asserting that he had accidentally hit her with a plastic milk carton during an argument. Despite his denials, the evidence presented was compelling enough for the jury to convict him.

Following the verdict, Sheriff Christopher Dickson released Foster on bail and postponed sentencing until next month to allow for social work reports. This conviction adds to a prior conviction from July 2023, where Foster admitted to controlling and aggressive behavior towards his ex-partner. That earlier case involved him repeatedly turning up at her home and workplace, accessing her phone, shouting insults, and restraining her over a period of seven months of abuse.

As part of his sentence, Foster was ordered to refrain from contacting his former partner for ten years, attend sessions with a domestic abuse organization, complete 200 hours of unpaid work, and adhere to a two-year supervision order. His career as a professional footballer, which included playing for Hibernian from 2012 to 2017 with 79 appearances and six goals, was effectively ended by his criminal convictions. After stints with other clubs on loan, he moved to Kelty Hearts and later Tranent Juniors, but his football career was terminated following his 2023 conviction and subsequent sacking.

Foster's case has cast a long shadow over his once-promising career and serves as a stark reminder of the serious consequences of domestic violence and racial abuse, especially when committed by someone in the public eye in Edinburgh.
