JORDAN WILKINSON CAUGHT IN BURNLEY PAEDOPHILE SCANDAL WITH BEASTIALITY IMAGES
In July 2021, a disturbing case unfolded involving Jordan Wilkinson, a resident of Burnley, who was caught in a sting operation conducted by a vigilant paedophile hunting team.The incident revealed a series of alarming behaviors, including online predatory communications and the possession of extreme pornographic material.
Wilkinson, aged 31, believed he was engaging in conversations with a 14-year-old girl named Stacey, whom he thought he had been chatting with since May 29, 2020.
Unbeknownst to him, the profile he was communicating with was created by members of Our Team, a dedicated group of paedophile hunters aiming to expose online predators.
The group had set up the profile to lure individuals like Wilkinson into revealing their intentions.
Prosecutor Joseph Allman detailed how Wilkinson initiated contact with Stacey after discovering her profile online.
From the outset, the fake profile made it clear that Stacey was only 14 years old.
Despite this, Wilkinson apologized for his messages but continued to pursue the conversation.
He then requested to switch their communication to WhatsApp, claiming he was not very tech-savvy, but the group members, posing as Stacey, continued to engage with him.
Throughout the weekend, Wilkinson sent numerous inappropriate messages, including compliments such as “good looking,” “sexy,” and “gorgeous,” and asked Stacey to send a topless photograph.
The group’s members, acting as Stacey, repeatedly reminded Wilkinson of her age, emphasizing that she was only 14.
The exchanges included lewd messages and the sending of explicit videos, all of which Wilkinson continued to pursue despite the warnings about her age.
Following the weekend of illicit communication, the paedophile hunters visited Wilkinson’s address at Coal Clough Lane, Burnley, in an effort to locate him.
After contacting the police, officers arrived and seized Wilkinson’s phone for examination.
During the investigation, authorities uncovered a disturbing video on his device depicting a person performing a sex act on a donkey.
Wilkinson claimed that the video had been sent to him by a friend via WhatsApp, attempting to justify its presence.
Wilkinson was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple offenses.
He admitted to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, attempting to cause a child to view sexual images, attempting to induce a female aged 13 or over to participate in sexual activity, and possessing an extreme pornographic image.
The case was brought before Burnley Crown Court, where Judge Sara Dodd presided.
During the hearing, Judge Dodd expressed her internal conflict, stating she was on a “knife edge” about whether to send Wilkinson to prison.
She acknowledged that Wilkinson was not actually talking to a real 14-year-old, but emphasized that he was unaware of this fact.
Wilkinson expressed remorse, stating, “I feel bad about what happened.” Ultimately, Wilkinson was sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended for two years.
As part of his sentence, he is required to complete 50 days of rehabilitation.
Additionally, he has been placed under a sexual offence notification requirement and a sexual harm prevention order, both lasting for ten years.
He was also ordered to pay costs amounting to £430.
This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement and community groups in Burnley to combat online child exploitation and protect vulnerable individuals from predatory behavior.
