JORDAN TOWERS FROM WOKING SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENSES IN GUILDFORD
In August 2017, a disturbing case unfolded involving Jordan Towers, a man from Woking, Surrey, who was convicted of heinous crimes related to child sexual exploitation.The incident drew significant attention after Towers was caught and subsequently sentenced to serve six years in prison, with additional measures imposed to prevent future offenses.
According to court records, Towers, aged 26 at the time, was found guilty of multiple serious charges, including causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, engaging in sexual acts in the presence of a minor, and the possession and distribution of indecent photographs of children.
His arrest followed a detailed investigation that uncovered the extent of his predatory behavior.
The police apprehended Towers in February after a 13-year-old girl from Kent reported that he had befriended her online through a fake profile.
He manipulated her into taking indecent photographs of herself, which marked the beginning of a series of disturbing discoveries.
When authorities searched his mobile device, they uncovered more than 1,000 indecent images involving children, highlighting the severity of his actions.
Further investigations revealed that Towers had targeted numerous vulnerable teenage girls across the country, primarily through social media platforms such as Instagram and a teenage dating app called Yellow.
Law enforcement officials identified approximately 60 potential victims, aged between 13 and 16 years old, by cross-referencing phone numbers, chat logs, and social media profiles linked to the images recovered from Towers’ devices.
During the court proceedings at Guildford Crown Court, it was revealed that Towers employed manipulative tactics to gain the trust of his victims.
He would compliment them to establish rapport before requesting explicit photographs or initiating sexual video chats.
As his persistence grew, he became increasingly aggressive, threatening to distribute the images he had obtained unless the victims continued to send more explicit material.
In some cases, Towers used the images he received to create fake profiles, impersonating teenage girls and sending similar images to other victims in an attempt to solicit more explicit content.
Several victims reported that they were contacted through multiple profiles created by Towers, which added to the distress and confusion experienced by those targeted.
Jordan Towers, whose address is listed as Portugal Road, Woking, was sentenced to six years in prison.
The court also imposed a further four years on license, requiring him to adhere to strict conditions upon release.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for life and was subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
As part of the sentencing, Towers was also required to pay a victim surcharge of £170, reflecting the seriousness of his crimes and the ongoing impact on his victims.
