GALASHIELS MAN CONVICTED OF ENGAGING IN SEXUAL ACTIVITY WITH A MINOR
A 21-year-old man, Jordan Lamb, has been convicted for engaging in a sexual relationship with a Child.Lamb appeared at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on 8 April 2024, where he pled guilty to charges related to the offense.
The court heard that Lamb, who was 21 at the time of the incident, had developed a relationship with the underage girl, resulting in serious legal consequences.
While some of his pleas were accepted as not guilty for related charges, the main offense of engaging in a sexual relationship with a minor was upheld.
The Sheriff ordered Lamb to serve an 18-month Community Payback Order under supervision.
Reporting requirements to authorities were also imposed for the duration of the sentence.
