GALASHIELS WOMAN CAUSED CHILDREN NEGLECT, COURT HEARS
Investigations have been initiated into a woman from Galashiels who admitted to neglecting children and causing them unnecessary suffering by maintaining a residence cluttered with human waste and animal feces.At Selkirk Sheriff Court, it was reported that the home on Kenilworth Avenue was in a state of disarray and nearly uninhabitable, with rubbish strewn across the floors during a visit on August 3 of the previous year.
Sarah Brack, aged 37, confessed to a charge brought under the Children and Young Persons (Scotland) Act 1937.
The sentencing was postponed until June 22 to allow for the preparation of a criminal justice social work report and an evaluation for a restriction of liberty order.
