JORDAN GILL CAUGHT IN CONINGSBY WITH UNDERAGE GIRL AND ADMITS CHILD ABDUCTION
In October 2017, a disturbing incident unfolded in the town of Coningsby, where a young girl was reported missing from her home. The investigation led authorities to a troubling discovery involving 21-year-old Jordan Gill, who was found in a disabled toilet with the underage girl. Gill's presence with the girl, who had been reported missing, raised immediate concerns and prompted police action.Gill appeared before Lincoln Crown Court to face serious charges. It was revealed that he had previously ignored an abduction notice issued by law enforcement, which explicitly prohibited any contact with the girl. Despite this, Gill was found in a vulnerable state with the minor, raising questions about his intentions and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
Prosecutor Jonathan Dunn provided detailed insights into the case, stating that police, upon analyzing Gill’s mobile phone, uncovered a disturbing collection of images. These included 61 indecent “selfie” photographs taken by the girl herself and subsequently sent to Gill. The images were stored on his device, indicating a level of premeditation and possession of illicit material. Furthermore, Gill admitted to kissing the girl, adding a sexual dimension to the case.
Communications between Gill and the girl, as revealed by the phone’s messages, depicted a romantic relationship. The pair referred to each other as “boyfriend” and “girlfriend,” and Gill had saved her contact details as “my little shorty.” The messages suggested that Gill actively encouraged the relationship and insisted it be kept secret, which further compounded the seriousness of the allegations.
Gill, who did not have a fixed address at the time, pleaded guilty to multiple charges. These included child abduction, sexual activity with a minor, and the creation and distribution of indecent images of a child, with the offenses spanning from April 20 to May 19 of that year.
In sentencing, Recorder Simon King imposed a three-year community order on Gill. As part of his punishment, Gill is required to complete a sexual offenders’ treatment program. Additionally, he was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which will remain in effect for five years. The judge emphasized that Gill’s actions warranted a custodial sentence; however, due to the time already served on remand, he was spared immediate imprisonment. Recorder King made it clear that this case was not a mere slap on the wrist, underscoring the gravity of the offenses committed in Coningsby.
