Ryde man admits possession of child and animal sex abuse images A Ryde man has admitted possession of numerous child abuse and bestiality images. John Salim Nazir Aridi, 38, of Victoria Place, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court in December and the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Wednesday. He admitted possession of 70 prohibited images of a child, and three counts of making indecent images of a child — namely 214 Category C images, ten Category B images, and six Category A images. He also admitted possession of three extreme pornographic images which portrayed a person performing a sex act with a live animal — namely dogs and horses. Sentencing was adjourned to April 15, for preparation of pre-sentence probation reports.
