JAILED IN YORK: JESSICA/ALLAN BRENNAN, A VILE AND DANGEROUS PAEDOPHILE IN HARROGATE

In May 2021, Jessica Brennan, previously known as Allan Brennan at the time of the offences, was sentenced to 22 years in prison for her heinous crimes. Brennan, 54, sexually abused four young girls between 1998 and 2016, all while they were of school age.

The courageous victims came forward to police, assisting investigators from North Yorkshire Police’s CID to build a case against her. Despite being questioned and denying any involvement, Brennan faced a trial where the jury ultimately found her guilty of multiple sexual offences.

At York Crown Court, Brennan was convicted on charges including attempted rape of a child under 13, sexual assault of a girl under 13 by penetration, five counts of sexual activity with a child, assault by penetration, two counts of sexual assault, sexual activity with a child, and five counts of indecent assault.

The court sentenced Brennan to 22 years in custody. Additionally, she was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life and was issued an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, imposing strict restrictions upon her release. The judge also imposed a four-year extended license period following her eventual release from prison, to monitor her reintegration into society.
