July 2010 Topless teen pics land Polish man in jail A wife reported her husband to police after finding a photograph of a topless teenager on his mobile phone. Jerzy Flis confessed he was very drunk when he took the picture. But police recovered 103 images of the 15-year-old girl, some of which had been deleted but still remained in the phone’s memory card, Worcester Crown Court heard. Flis, aged 44, of Teme Road, Worcester, also admitted massaging the girl’s bare breasts and hitting another young victim with a belt. Jailing Flis, a Polish national, for 15 months, Judge Robert Juckes QC said they serious offences but the defendant had shown genuine remorse. He was an alcoholic and regularly drank three bottles of wine a day. Flis pleaded guilty to taking indecent photographs of a child, possession of them, sexual activity with a child and child cruelty. The couple came to England in 2007 but had a turbulent relationship, said Gareth Walters, prosecuting. On May 22 the wife returned home from a late shift at 1.20am to find Flis in bed and discovered the topless picture with the same day’s date stamp. She ordered him to leave the house and contacted the police. Flis told officers he took the photographs for sexual gratification. Defence counsel Richard Shepherd said Flis recognised he had committed “mean and distasteful offences”. He was an intelligent man who had been left damaged by his own childhood. The judge ordered the defendant to sign the sex offenders’ register for 10 years. He also passed a sexual offences prevention order, forbidding Flis from having contact with girls under the age of 16.
