NOTTINGHAM MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER EXPOSING HIMSELF TO DOG WALKERS
A man named Jeremy Randon, aged 49, has been found guilty of exposing himself in Sherwood Forest near Nottingham and has been handed a 12-month community order by the court. The incident involved Randon exposing himself to dog walkers on two separate occasions in early 2023.
The first incident on January 17, involved him wearing a puffer jacket and making sure the dog walker could see him while exposing his private parts and touching himself in a sexual manner.
The second incident, two days later, also involved him in the same attire, again exposing himself and appearing aroused, which made the victim feel scared and extremely uneasy.
Jeremy Randon has previous convictions for similar offences in other parts of the UK, including a 2015 case in Tywyn where he approached five females, including a 14-year-old girl, while naked from the waist down under the guise of asking for directions.
He was previously sentenced to a three-year community order then and is currently on the sex offender register.
During his court appearance, Randon posed for a photo taken by a Nottingham Post journalist as he left Nottingham Crown Court, with Randon saying, 'do you want a proper photo?' The judge, Michael Auty KC, expressed hope that Randon could turn his life around and mentioned that had he been sent to prison, it would have been for a short time, which could have been a setback to his rehabilitation.
