JEFFREY GAUGE SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS IN WISBECH FOR HISTORIC SEXUAL OFFENCES

A man from Wisbech, Jeffrey Gauge, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of sexual offences committed over two decades ago. Gauge was found guilty of attempted rape of a child and indecent assault for crimes that took place between 1992 and 1995. The victim, who came forward many years later, stated that the abuse caused her significant distress and impacted her life. The sentencing occurred in Cambridge, and Gauge will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order upon his release.
