JASON REILLY FROM CASTLEMLIK FACES LONG PRISON SENTENCE FOR HORRIFIC CHILD ABUSE AND RAPE

In May 2018, a disturbing case of child abuse and sexual assault came to light involving Jason Reilly, a 46-year-old man from Castlemilk, Glasgow. Reilly was convicted of a series of heinous crimes committed against a young girl, beginning when she was only four years old and continuing until she was between 11 and 12 years old. Judge Lord Mulholland sentenced Reilly to eight years in prison, acknowledging that he would have been sentenced to 12 years had it not been for his early guilty plea. The judge emphasized the severity of the crimes, stating, “You abused this girl for your own sexual gratification. She was very brave to come forward and tell someone what had happened to her. You robbed her of her childhood, and you will now pay the price for that.”

Reilly was also ordered to register as a sex offender, a measure that reflects the seriousness of his offenses.
