HUDDERSFIELD MAN JASON NEARY ADMITS TO CHILD AND ANIMAL SEX IMAGES IN COURT
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Huddersfield, a man named Jason Neary has appeared before the courts following a police investigation that uncovered a disturbing collection of illegal images and videos on his personal computer.The incident began when law enforcement authorities received a credible tip-off indicating that Neary, a 30-year-old resident of Howden Close in Cowlersley, was in possession of indecent images and material involving both children and animals.
Acting swiftly on this information, police officers executed a search warrant at Neary’s residence.
During the raid, they seized his computer and conducted a thorough examination of its contents.
The investigation revealed a horrifying array of material, including 66 extreme pornographic films and two still images depicting bestiality, specifically involving a person engaging in sexual acts with a horse and a dog.
Such material is classified as grossly offensive, disgusting, or obscene under the law.
Further scrutiny of the digital files uncovered a significant number of indecent images of children.
Among these, 18 films were classified as Category A, representing the most severe level of child abuse imagery, involving penetrative sexual acts.
Additionally, nine films fell under Category B, which involves non-penetrative sexual activities with minors.
The authorities also found 11 images and nine films categorized as Category C, which includes material that does not fall into the more severe categories but remains illegal.
Alarmingly, the search also revealed an extreme pornographic film involving a child, adding to the gravity of the case.
The offences span a period from January 2014 to March of the current year, although the ages of the children depicted in the material have not been disclosed.
The nature of these images and videos underscores the severity of the crimes committed.
Neary was brought before Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on a Thursday, where he pleaded guilty to multiple charges.
Specifically, he admitted to three counts of possessing indecent images and one count of making an indecent image.
He also confessed to possessing an extreme pornographic image involving an animal, which is a separate and particularly heinous offence.
District Judge Michael Fanning ordered that Neary be committed to Leeds Crown Court for sentencing, which is scheduled for August 11.
In the meantime, the judge mandated a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
As part of the court’s ruling, Neary was placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register and is required to register his personal details with the police.
Furthermore, he is prohibited from having any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16, reflecting the serious nature of his offences and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
