SWINDON MAN JASON ILES SENTENCED FOR ABUSE AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN SHOCKING CASE
A man from Swindon, identified as 35-year-old Jason Iles, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being convicted of multiple serious offenses involving a minor girl.The case, which has shocked the local community, revealed a disturbing pattern of sexual exploitation and abuse carried out by Iles over a period of six months.
According to court proceedings, Iles pleaded guilty to eight separate charges, including three counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child involving penetration, and the possession of twelve indecent images of a child.
The prosecution, led by David Scutt, detailed how Iles initially initiated contact with the victim through inappropriate messages, some of which contained compliments about her physical appearance.
These messages marked the beginning of a troubling relationship that escalated rapidly once they met in person.
During their face-to-face encounters, Iles reportedly used alcohol to manipulate the girl, encouraging her to drink heavily.
The court heard that on their very first meeting, Iles groped her breasts and then proceeded to digitally penetrate her, actions that left the young girl confused and unsure of how to respond.
The sexual activity quickly progressed to oral sex and eventually full sexual intercourse, during which she lost her virginity.
Iles is said to have repeatedly told her that he wanted to be her first, showering her with compliments and professing love, which appeared to be part of his manipulative tactics.
One particularly disturbing incident involved Iles discussing rough sex with the girl and placing his hands on her neck.
Despite her resistance, he held her arms down and continued to have sex with her until he ejaculated.
The victim later described in a recorded interview that these sexual encounters occurred multiple times across various locations around Swindon, often involving alcohol consumption.
She also revealed that Iles had threatened her not to tell anyone, warning that he would go to prison and lose his children if she disclosed what was happening.
Additionally, he threatened to kill himself if she revealed the abuse, insisting that her word alone would not be believed.
In an effort to gather evidence, the victim created a fictitious online friend named Lily Orchard, which Iles responded to eagerly, apparently hoping to arrange a threesome.
Police investigations uncovered further disturbing material on Iles’s mobile phone, including nine photographs of the girl stored within a password-protected app, and a video of Iles sending a graphic image of his genitals to her.
Authorities also found an extreme pornographic video depicting sexual intercourse with a dog, highlighting the extent of Iles’s deviant interests.
Judge Jason Taylor KC addressed the court, condemning Iles’s actions as manipulative and predatory.
He stated that Iles had used emotional blackmail, threats, and coercion to keep the girl silent.
The judge emphasized that the victim was often unwilling but felt terrified and emotionally torn, which Iles exploited.
He remarked that the girl still blamed herself, a misconception that the court sought to correct, underscoring that Iles, as the adult, had prioritized his own sexual gratification over her well-being.
In sentencing, Judge Taylor imposed a 14-year prison term, with Iles expected to serve two-thirds of that sentence before being eligible for release on licence.
The court also ordered Iles to register as a sex offender for life and imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Furthermore, he was given an indefinite restraining order to prevent any contact with the victim.
The sentence followed Iles’s guilty pleas to multiple charges, including sexual activity with a child involving penetration, possession of indecent images, and possession of extreme pornography.
