JANUSZ MAGERAMMOW CAUGHT IN EASTLEIGH LEISURE CENTRE SCANDAL

In June 2017, a disturbing case of voyeurism unfolded at Fleming Park Leisure Centre in Eastleigh, Hampshire, leading to the arrest and subsequent imprisonment of a man identified as Janusz Magerammow. The incident involved the covert filming of women and a teenage girl during their private changing routines, raising serious concerns about personal privacy and safety in public recreational facilities.

Janusz Magerammow, a resident of Leigh Road in Eastleigh, was brought before Southampton Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to multiple charges. Specifically, he was convicted of four counts of voyeurism and one count of creating an indecent image of a child. The court heard that on March 18 of the previous year, Magerammow had secretly recorded two women and a 14-year-old girl while they were changing inside the cubicles at Fleming Park Leisure Centre, a popular local facility in Eastleigh.

Further investigations revealed that police, upon examining Magerammow's mobile device, discovered additional recordings. These included footage of a fourth woman, captured without her knowledge, while she was undergoing a beauty treatment at a different location. This evidence highlighted a pattern of invasive behavior and a blatant disregard for the privacy of multiple victims.

As a result of his guilty plea, Magerammow was sentenced to six months in prison. The court also ordered that he be registered as a sex offender, a measure intended to monitor and restrict his activities following his release. The case has sparked concern among local residents and visitors alike, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding personal privacy in public spaces and the need for strict enforcement of laws against voyeurism and related offenses.
