JAMIE-LEE MCLAREN OF LOCHORE FACES JAIL AFTER NECK ASSAULT ON PARTNER

Jamie-Lee McLaren, a 27-year-old resident of Balbedie Avenue in Lochore, is currently behind bars following an incident of domestic violence. The case was brought before Dunfermline Sheriff Court, where McLaren appeared to face sentencing for his actions.

On March 17, at a location known as New Flockhouse in Lochore, McLaren committed an assault against his then-partner. The assault involved him pushing her on the neck, an act that has now led to his legal repercussions. McLaren had previously admitted to this assault, which was a key part of the case against him.

During the court proceedings, McLaren was scheduled for sentencing. However, the court was informed that a crucial social work report was unavailable because McLaren failed to attend his scheduled appointment with social services. This absence hindered the progress of the case and delayed the sentencing process.

In response to this situation, Sheriff Wylie Robertson decided to postpone the sentencing until December 7. Until that date, McLaren was remanded in custody, meaning he would remain in detention. Sheriff Robertson expressed his frustration with McLaren’s failure to cooperate, stating, “I’m not having the social workers’ time wasted any further.”
