CONNOR MCLEAN ATTACKS WOMAN IN LOCHORE: BRUTAL PUNCHES LEAVE HER INJURED

In a disturbing incident that unfolded in the quiet town of Lochore, Connor McLean, a resident of Waverley Place, became involved in a violent assault that left a woman seriously injured.

The assault took place on the evening of December 17 last year at the Lochore Miners Welfare, located on Lochleven Road.

According to court records, McLean physically attacked the woman by delivering two forceful punches to her face.

The impact was severe enough to cause cuts, swelling, and bruising, and the victim was knocked to the ground, remaining there for several minutes.

The injuries sustained included a cut near her eyebrow, significant bruising and swelling, and an injury to the back of her head, indicating the severity of the assault.

Prosecutor Laura McManus explained that McLean's behavior had become increasingly argumentative as the evening progressed.

The situation escalated around 1 a.m.

when McLean approached the woman while they were both standing outside.

The confrontation quickly turned violent, culminating in the punches that caused the victim's injuries.

McLean later admitted to the assault, acknowledging that he had repeatedly punched the woman on her head.

The court heard the details of the incident and the extent of the injuries inflicted.

In sentencing, Sheriff Craig McSherry ordered McLean to complete a community payback order, which includes 180 hours of unpaid work.

This sentence aims to hold him accountable while also providing an opportunity for rehabilitation and reflection on his actions.
