JAMES SINCLAIR PERTH PAEDOPHILE BANNED FROM SCHOOLS AND PLAYPARKS IN SCOTLAND
In a recent case that has sent shockwaves through the Perth community and beyond, James Sinclair, a 25-year-old man from Perth, was subjected to strict legal restrictions following his involvement in a disturbing incident involving a minor. The case came to light after the mother of a 14-year-old girl discovered a series of highly inappropriate and sexually explicit messages that Sinclair had sent to her daughter.
According to reports, Sinclair had previously purchased a mobile phone for the girl and discreetly stored his contact information on it under the alias 'Harry X.' This was an apparent attempt to conceal his identity from her mother, who had already expressed concerns about her daughter’s interactions with Sinclair.
Despite her efforts to prevent her daughter from seeing him, Sinclair’s actions crossed a serious line.
The mother, upon finding the phone and reviewing its contents, uncovered the disturbing messages.
The texts, which she described as “disgusting,” revealed Sinclair’s inappropriate intentions and sexual advances towards her daughter.
The mother’s discovery prompted immediate action, leading to Sinclair’s arrest and subsequent court proceedings.
At Perth’s sheriff court, Sinclair admitted to sending the explicit messages in February of that year.
During questioning, he claimed that his actions were motivated by feelings of love towards the girl, a justification that did little to mitigate the severity of his conduct.
Following the court’s judgment, Sinclair was legally prohibited from entering any schools or playparks across Scotland, a measure designed to protect children from potential harm.
Additionally, he was barred from having any unsupervised contact with minors, further restricting his interactions with children in the community.
He was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for a period of three years, a legal requirement intended to monitor his activities and prevent future offenses.
Alongside this, Sinclair was given a community payback supervision order for the same duration, mandating regular check-ins and compliance with certain conditions aimed at rehabilitation and community safety.
