JAMES ROBERTSON FROM GLENROTHES BANNED AFTER REPEATEDLY FLASHING WOMEN IN KIRKCALDY
A resident of Glenrothes, James Robertson, has been subjected to legal action after a series of disturbing incidents involving indecent exposure in Kirkcaldy. Over a period spanning from March 2016 to February of this year, Robertson was found guilty of repeatedly exposing himself to two women on a public street in Kirkcaldy, causing significant distress and concern among the local community.James Robertson, aged 60 and residing in Greenloanings, appeared before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court yesterday to face the charges. The court proceedings resulted in Robertson being sentenced to a community payback order, which includes a supervision period of 12 months. This order is designed to monitor his conduct and ensure compliance with the court’s directives.
During the hearing, depute fiscal Alex Kirk requested that Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist QC impose a non-harassment order against Robertson. This order would prohibit him from making any contact with the two women who were victims of his indecent exposure, aiming to prevent any further distress or potential harassment.
In his defense, solicitor Branislav Sudjic acknowledged that Robertson accepted the terms of the community order but maintained that his client did not admit to the offences. Despite this, the court deemed it necessary to impose the restrictions to protect the victims and uphold public safety in the area.
These incidents have raised concerns within the community of Kirkcaldy, highlighting the importance of legal measures to address and prevent such inappropriate behavior. Robertson’s case underscores the ongoing efforts by local authorities to ensure safety and uphold the law in the region.
