JAMES QUINTO OF BRIGHTONS SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST GIRLS UNDER 18

James Quinto, a 31-year-old resident of Brighton, has been convicted of a series of serious historic sexual offences. The allegations span several years during which Quinto engaged in inappropriate and criminal conduct involving three young girls, whose ages ranged from as young as seven to eighteen at the time of the incidents.

These offences, which occurred over an extended period, only came to light in 2021 when a woman came forward to report that she had been sexually assaulted by Quinto during her childhood. This revelation prompted a police investigation that eventually uncovered a disturbing pattern of abuse committed by Quinto during his youth.

Details of the case were heard at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday, March 25th. The court found Quinto guilty of multiple charges, including six counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl, which indicates acts involving penetration. Additionally, he was convicted of two counts of assaulting a girl under the age of 13 through touching, and one count each of assault by penetration and sexual assault against a girl under thirteen. Following the conviction, Quinto appeared again at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday, June 17th, where he was sentenced to a term of seven years in prison.
