September 2018 Man jailed for posting revenge porn pictures of local teenage girl A 22-year-old man posted revenge porn pictures of a teenage girl and told her he would expose her to Scotland’s Travelling community. James Muir persuaded the girl, 16, who can’t be named for legal reasons, to send him scantily-clad pictures of herself. He then sent the pictures to her sister through Facebook and said: “Every Traveller in Scotland will see these.” The incident took place in Perth. At Perth Sheriff Court, Muir, of Bowness Court, Workington, Cumbria, admitted sending intimate private pictures of the teenager to a third party without consent on 27 November last year. He admitted threatening to send the images to others with the express aim of causing her fear, alarm or distress. He was jailed for 163 days.
