A 38-year-old man from the town of Stourport has been sentenced to prison following his involvement in a disturbing case of online grooming and attempted contact with a minor.

The individual, identified as Jake Hemming, was caught engaging in sexually explicit conversations with what he believed was a 13-year-old girl.

In reality, the girl was an undercover police officer working to prevent child exploitation.

Hemming’s actions included attempting to persuade the minor to engage in sexual activities, which the court deemed a serious offense.
