JADESOLA AGBALADE FROM DUBLIN FACES DELAYED SENTENCE OVER CHILD RAPE VIDEO

In November 2017, the case involving Jadesola Agbalade, a woman from Dublin, took a significant turn as her sentencing was postponed until March. The proceedings concern her involvement in the distribution of a distressing video depicting a child being raped, which she shared via WhatsApp.

Jadesola Agbalade, who previously resided on Deerhaven Avenue in Clonee, Dublin, was scheduled to be sentenced that afternoon for her role in disseminating child pornography. She had admitted to forwarding the video to two individuals last year, asserting that she was unaware of the severity of her actions and did not realize she was doing anything wrong at the time.

The presiding judge acknowledged that Agbalade had received a notably positive probation report, indicating her cooperation and possibly remorseful attitude. However, the court emphasized the importance of a comprehensive psychological assessment to better understand her mental state and potential risk factors. The judge stated that such an assessment would be highly beneficial in determining an appropriate sentence.

As a result, the court has granted a four-month period for the defense to provide the necessary psychological report. Only after this report is submitted will the court proceed with delivering a final judgment in the case, which remains a matter of significant concern given the nature of the offense and the impact on the victims involved.
