CARLISLE WOMAN JAILED FOR 18 YEARS FOR KNIFE ATTACK
Jacqueline Mounsey, aged 53 and from Carlisle, was found guilty of intentionally wounding her husband with a weapon and later assaulting a child, which was described as a disturbing event.
In June 2024, she used a kitchen knife to stab her husband, Mark Bennett, in the neck while he was sleeping.
She also caused injuries to a child and herself during the incident.
The court was told that Mounsey was experiencing depression at the time.
