September 2010 Child porn found on computer after denial A MAN had more than 70 indecent images of children on his computer, including one of a girl who was tied up, a court heard. Experts found the pictures on software seized from Jack Oxby’s home computer after it was seized three years ago. He initially denied having any indecent images, but experts discovered 71 pictures of children, including one at level five, the most serious category. Oxby, then of Clegg Hill Drive, Huthwaite, was told about what had been found and made full and frank admissions. Michael Auty, prosecuting at Nottingham Crown Court, said: “He said he was attracted solely to girls and the age of girls was between eight and 14 years.” Oxby, who is married and now lives in a caravan in Devon, had not shared the images with anyone and viewed them when alone. He pleaded guilty to 14 charges of making indecent photographs and one of possessing them. He is now on a sexual offenders’ prevention order that has conditions restricting his contact with children and use of the internet. He will be on the sex offenders’ register for the next five years. Adrian Reynolds, mitigating, said: “He has sought help during the long period since he was arrested.”
