Jack Goddard Child Sexual Abuser in Nottingham
JACK GODDARD
Jack Goddard, aged 31, previously served a four-year sentence following his conviction for engaging in sexual acts with a minor.
As part of his punishment, he was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which prohibited almost all contact with individuals under 16 and required him to notify authorities of any new relationships, as well as forbidding him from residing in homes with children.
Goddard's first incarceration in 2021 was due to his failure to adhere to accommodation requirements under the Sex Offenders Register.
He was reported again earlier this year after being seen with two teenage girls.
Despite denying contact, CCTV footage captured him shopping with them.
He later pleaded guilty to three counts of breaching the SHPO and two counts related to failure to update authorities about his whereabouts.
At Nottingham Crown Court on 27 October, Goddard, from Huthwaite, was sentenced to 44 months in jail.
According to Detective Sergeant Peter Burrows, Goddard continues to pose a threat to young women and shows little regard for the legal restrictions meant to protect them.
He emphasized that such court orders are strictly enforced and carry serious penalties for violations.
Burrows also stated that Goddard lied repeatedly about the incidents until irrefutable evidence proved otherwise, expressing relief that he was back in custody.
The detective hopes this case serves as a deterrent to other sex offenders about the repercussions of ignoring legal restrictions.
Community management of sex offenders is conducted by the MOSOVO team — Management of Sexual Offenders and Violent Offenders — dedicated to supervising over a thousand individuals on the Sex Offenders Register or subject to SHPOs in Nottinghamshire.
These measures are used to manage high-risk offenders involved in crimes such as rape, sexual assault, and the distribution of indecent images of children, to minimize public danger.
