HULL MAN SENTENCED TO 16 YEARS FOR PREDATORY SEXUAL ATTACKS
This offender, Ishaq Al-Noor, a 21-year-old man from Pendrill Street, West Hull, was convicted of heinous sexual offences. He was found to have targeted vulnerable women late at night, involving them in conversations before dragging them into a cemetery where he committed rape and attempted rape.
One victim, a 17-year-old student, was attacked in June last year, while a second victim, a woman in her 20s, was assaulted six months later.
The offences were nearly identical, and Al-Noor was linked to both victims through forensic evidence.
As a result of his actions, he was sentenced to 16 years in prison with an extended six-year license period, and a judge at Hull Crown Court described his risk to women as 'high.' The judge emphasized the serious nature of the crimes and the high likelihood of future harm to women if monitored or rehabilitated.
The victims displayed remarkable courage in coming forward, which contributed to Al-Noor's conviction and sentencing.
He initially denied the charges but pleaded guilty on the day of his trial after the first victim’s testimony.
The court described the offences as 'appalling,' and a detective expressed satisfaction that Al-Noor will now face a lengthy prison term, ensuring he no longer poses a threat to the public.
