IOANNIS BOUGIOUKAS FROM HULL FAILS TO REDUCE SENTENCE AFTER SPICE-FUELED CRIME SPREE
In May 2018, a violent incident involving Ioannis Bougioukas, a 21-year-old man from Hull, drew significant attention from local authorities and the justice system.Bougioukas, who was under the influence of spice at the time, launched a violent and chaotic crime spree across the city in July 2016, which lasted approximately 90 minutes and left a trail of trauma and fear among his victims.
His rampage began around 8:30 pm on Beverley Road, where he committed a terrifying act that would set the tone for the subsequent hours of violence.
Armed with an imitation firearm, Bougioukas threatened a teenage girl at gunpoint, pressing the weapon to her head and demanding she kiss him.

Following this initial assault, Bougioukas, along with an accomplice, embarked on a spree of robberies and attempted robberies.
Over the course of the next hour and a half, he and his associate threatened multiple victims, demanding their money, mobile phones, and even cars.
The chaos culminated in police intervention, during which Bougioukas was apprehended.
Investigations revealed his fingerprints on the imitation gun used during the crimes.
During police questioning, Bougioukas admitted to having taken a cocktail of drugs that day and expressed that he could not remember the details of his actions.
His criminal record includes charges of attempted sexual assault, possession of an imitation firearm, and conspiracy to rob, all of which led to his conviction.
He was formerly residing on Exchange Street in Hull.
In May 2017, Bougioukas was sentenced at Hull Crown Court to 14 years in prison, with an additional four-year extended license period.
