IAN WARREN SENTENCED TO 18 YEARS FOR ABUSING THREE GIRLS IN SWADLINCOTE AND NOTTINGHAM
In a case that spanned over three decades, Ian Warren, a 63-year-old man with no fixed address, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term of 18 years for the sexual abuse of three young girls.The crimes, which involved a series of heinous acts, were committed across different locations, including Nottingham and the Swadlincote area of Derbyshire, highlighting a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior.
Warren was found guilty on a total of 27 counts of sexual assault, which included serious charges of rape.
The court proceedings, held at Nottingham Crown Court, revealed that the abuse took place over a period from 1980 to 2015, with each girl subjected to Warren’s predatory actions at different times and places.
Specifically, it was established that Warren assaulted one of the victims at a residence in Nottingham during the years 2009 and 2010.
This particular case was part of the evidence that led to his conviction, alongside other offences committed against a second girl between 2008 and 2015.
The court heard that these acts inflicted lasting trauma on the victims, with Warren’s actions spanning a significant period of time.
The third victim’s abuse occurred earlier, between 1980 and 1985, and was carried out at various locations within the Swadlincote area of Derbyshire.
This pattern of offending across different locations and years underscored the extent of Warren’s criminal behavior.
In addition to the prison sentence, Warren was ordered to be placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.
Furthermore, he was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order, which aims to restrict his behavior and prevent any further offenses.
